Eternal Threads began as a mission to help one group of women in India, but has grown to include women in four other countries. Their name and logo represent the values they invest in their organization and the women they work with. Most of the artisans have skills involving threads of one kind or another, wool, silk, cotton, raffia, plastic twine, cording for jewelry to name a few. By offering a sustainable income they weave threads of hope and justice into the artisans’ lives and generations beyond.
Linda Egle was inspired watching the weavers build their businesses with earnings from her orders. Upon her return to India she found that one woman had used the money to open a road side stand. She was doing well. She was supporting her children, paying taxes; she was thriving! This was the catalyst that drove Linda to work harder and harder until she built a business, Eternal Threads. Eternal Threads sales gorgeous hand woven silks, jewelry, home decor and many other items from five different countries.
