The Classy Awards, in partnership with the United Nations Foundation, is the largest social impact awards show in the country. Their awards go to the year’s greatest champions of social progress.
I came across one of Classy’s blog posts saluting Indego Africa for offering their women artisan partners entrepreneurial training programs. Here is a snippet, “To develop their entrepreneurial skills, artisans are provided training in quality control, design and product management. Indego currently employs over 600 women, 58% of whom make over $2 a day.”
